"It seems ironic that those who style themselves after the founders of this country are supporting the same kind of permanent, largely inherited, super-rich ruling class that the founding generation had rebelled against and defeated. Taxes are at historically low rates and marginal income tax rates and estate taxes for the super rich have been reduced to insignificance. These folks demand cuts to services that benefit themselves and their families while lauding the military, one of the most expensive of government programs. Part of the result is that the bosses, or rather the bosses’ bosses, reap the benefits your labor and mine while contributing very little in return. The impression I get from this article is a profound fear of change, which is the only constant in the universe."
