So, will we need valid photo ID or not in order to vote should the OH Senate vote it down too as expected per Redfern? I needed to show it last time.
http://www.whiotv.com/news/28702995/detail.htmlThe Republican leader of the Ohio House said a proposal to require voters to show photo identification at the polls is apparently dead.
House Speaker William Batchelder supports the proposal but tells The Columbus Dispatch he doesn't expect House lawmakers to see it again. The bill passed the House but faces opposition from the GOP-controlled Senate and Secretary of State Jon Husted, who's also a Republican.
Ohio Democratic Party Chairman Chris Redfern said it's clear the proposal would not pass. He calls the measure a "dramatic overreach" by Republicans in the House.
Redfern said the fight over voting rights continues as organizers try to overturn a new law that limits the number of early voting days and doesn't let counties pay for postage for absentee ballots submitted by mail.
