DOWNTOWN - The 80 Occupy Cincinnati protesters who received citations from police for staying at Piatt Park past 10 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday nights launched their legal fight Wednesday to try to avoid paying their $105 fines.
One of the protesters, Hugh Hirsch, entered not-guilty pleas on behalf of himself and the other 79 who were arraigned Wednesday in Hamilton County Municipal Court.
Magistrate J. G. Littner accepted the pleas, but made no ruling.
The 21 protesters who received citations on Sunday night will be arraigned in court on Oct. 20. ...
