Former NaphCare Worker at County Jail tells of Incompetent Medical Care Services
Edited on Tue Nov-22-11 08:57 PM by FarPoint
This is a very open, candid interview from a " whistle blower", since terminated for his exposure of corporate negligence. Not only does he address incompetent medical management, sexual harassment, drug abuse and felonious activity amongst the Naphcare administration....the big picture shows a "good-olde-boy" political network covering each others back..... It appears they are protecting the future election outcome of the Sheriff,(republican), in 2012 by NOT processing indictments or going to the Grand Jury in a timely fashion but rather, sitting on the evidince because well, because they can....

Also, I find it interesting that Naphcare kept the contract through renewal under a much reduced rate inspite of the medial mismanagement and criminal activity conducted within this medical department.

Thats what I get from all this....What say you DU'er?

Amid cost overruns and lawsuits alleging grossly inadequate health care for Alabama inmates, the Department of Corrections has decided to cancel its $30 million a year contract with NaphCare Inc., of Birmingham, which has handled medical and dental treatment in state prisons the last two years.

The Mobile Register obtained a copy of a letter sent Friday by Corrections Commissioner Donal Campbell to NaphCare CEO and owner James S. McLane, announcing the contract "shall terminate immediately upon the expiration of 90 days from your receipt of this notice."

The letter also states NaphCare is expected to continue to provide medical care to the prisons for that 90 days. The letter does not give a reason for the cancellation, but alludes to a section of the contract that allows either party to cancel for "convenience" with 90 days notice.
