An election in the balance and all we get are 40-60 people out of a city the size of Columbus? If people don't care then they have the president they deserve.

3. This is not an excuse but I made the trip to Columbus from Cincinnati

last Saturday. The rally last Sat. attracted about 700-900 though the wind and cold and inability to hear the speakers made the crowd more like 400 at any given time with people departing as more came.

Just because we know about this 51 capital march on DU does not mean others do.

What we do need are for African American congregations to be the face of this struggle. Minority disenfranchisement (other than fraud) is the most reprehensible tactic the GOP used and something most fair minded individuals would find repellant.

Without a media/advertizing campaign to get the word out about events like these, most people either went to church, slept in, or went shopping at Easton or Polaris with no knowledge of what was supposed to be taking place at the Statehouse this morning.

We could really use something like a "MoveOn.org" strictly for Ohio to coordinate advertizing campaigns and the like for issues like these.

We seem to be very slow to rouse unless we have something concrete to rally around.

The election fraud is widespread and indistinct, so many different kinds happening in so many places. People tend to dismiss it as "everybody does it." Something more needs to happen.

care far more about alleged "voting fraud" on a stupid fucking meaningless TV show like "American Idol" than they do about vote fraud that affects them far more. We are superficial, shallow, uninformed, and, unfortunately, damned proud of it.

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) As it has done for 200 years, Ohio's delegation to the Electoral College is to meet Monday to cast ballots for president and vice president but this time, there are demands that the electors wait until after a recount.

The Electoral College's vote in the Ohio Senate chamber is expected to be accompanied by demonstrations outside the Capitol sponsored by groups who don't accept that President Bush won the key swing state by 119,000 votes, guaranteeing his victory over Democrat John Kerry.

A demonstration was held Sunday as about 100 people gathered outside the Ohio Statehouse to protest the delegation's vote.

13. There ARE people who care, they are just waiting to be led.

It took women 72 YEARS to get the vote!! In this day and age with the internet and 24/7 media, it still will take a lot of dedication, effort, persistance and constant information to get more people to respond.

The easy thing to do is say "ain't it awful"... the hard thing to do is keep working at it and keep the faith.

As I understand it, Congressman John Conyers is bringing a delegation of Congressional Black Caucus to Columbus today to shine some more light on what is taking place.

Let's keep the faith and keep plugging away.
