If the Dems couldn't knock out LaTourette despite his ethical baggage and the Repubs couldn't knock out Kucinich with his ignoring the district for two year (Sorry Dennis fans) -- then I must say every Congressional seat in Ohio is safe for the incumbent.
The best bet is to get the governor's seat and more assembly seats in time for the next redistricting.

With the right candidate and a strong "Get out the vote" it may be possible. Not likely, but possible.

Ben Konop put up the strongest challenge to Oxley that we've seen in years -- Oxley still won, but (iirc) only with 59% of the vote -- much lower than the 75% or 80% that he normally gets. Konop also scored an outright victory in Allen County.
I'm pleased to say that I voted for Konop. I have the misfortune of living in Oxley's hometown, where the local paper spends entirely too much time every election season fawning over him.

5. Konop can take him out second time around |
|
The 4th district Democratic party needs to pour money into his campaign and Ben needs to live here in the district till then when he can run again. This IS the consensus from quite a few hardin county residents that voted for him and even some that had doubts.
