I don't know much about him, but this was sent to my daughter (and forwarded to me) this morning. Keep us informed, Avenger; I don't want another mistake as SOS.
I am proud and energized to write you today to tell you that our friend, and great American, Representative James P. Trakas will be announcing his candidacy for Ohio Secretary Of State today. Jim has not only been a friend and an outstanding person, but he has been an amazing leader in all that he does. He has served as a city councilman in Independence Ohio, as a Representative in the Ohio General Assembly since 1998 - where he was Majority Whip, and has also served as Chairman of the Republican Party of Cuyahoga County from 1996-2005, and as a member of the Cuyahoga County Board Of Elections. Prior to his political career Jim worked as Corporate Materials Manager at Allied Color Industries, a division of PolyOne (formerly M.A. Hanna Company) until 1996 when he left private industry to pursue a political career. Jim really is a great representative of us all, and I would appreciate your support as he endeavors to represent us in a higher office. The position of Secretary of State is a perfect fit for Jim Trakas and his experience in logistics, business leadership and elections coordination and elections certification will be an excellent asset to him in this office. Jim will do an excellent job in this position, and over the coming weeks he will be assembling a team and his plan for the office of Secretary of State and will release it on his website. So please keep an eye on his website, and please join me in supporting our friend, Jim Trakas, as he moves into this new role. Jim Trakas is a second-generation Greek-American who worked his way through college as a custodian for Independence City Schools, a hot dog vendor at Cleveland Municipal Stadium, and a page in the Ohio State Senate. Jim has a BA in Social & Behavioral Science (1987) from Ohio State University, and completed advanced continued education studies in the areas of Materials Management and Polymer Compounding at the University of Akron. He has served as City Councilman, State Representative, Republican Party of Cuyahoga County Chairman, and Member of the Cuyahoga County Board Of Elections. Today he will announce his intentions to seek the Republican nomination for the office of Ohio Secretary of State. Please join us in support of Jim and his new endeavors.
