Ohio appears to be important in 2006 as well.

3. Hell, I have as much of a chance as winning as any other Democrat in Ohio.

5. Nope
We're on the outside looking in. Every statewide office, with the exception of one Supreme Court Justice, is a Republican. Our statewide elections aren't until next year, along with our Senate race.

Some names out there for Senate include Jerry Springer (who brings some unfortunate baggage), Martin Sheen (a Dayton native who has been talked about a little here, but more in DC), and a handful of our Dem Congressmen, namely Sherrod Brown, Tim Ryan, and if he were to drop out of the governor's race, Ted Strickland.

6. There are good Democrats in Ohio
We had a great candidate in Eric Fingerhut, who ran against Voinovich last year. That's not really the problem, though, the problem is that the system is so tilted against us, and the party leadership seems resigned to failure before even trying. We ought to be airing ads attacking DeWine now.

Oh, on a completely unrelated (but funny) matter, did you know that the Franklin County Republican Party is located on Gay Street in Columbus? And that "FCGOP," pronounced as a word, sounds like "fuckup?"

7. Don't forget ORP
The state party is located on Rich Street. The mailing address says 211 S. Fifth, though it is on the corner of 5th and Rich, with the front door on Rich.
