call from Blackwell's campaign
I received an automated call from Blackwell's campaign, read on if you are interested.

It all started yesterday 7/15/05, a 20 second call that basically said:

- (in blackwell's voice) "Hi this is sec. of state ken blackwell, did you vote for the amendment to protect marriage at the last election"

I knew only a yes would clue me into what they are upto. I said yes.

- (in a different voice) "Thank you, we may call you again, ..."

This morning (7/16/05) from phone # 571-522-6559:

- (all in Blackwell's voice)

1. "Hi this is sec. of state ken blackwell, did you vote for the amendment to protect marriage at the last election"

Resp: "yes"

2. "Did you know that I was the only elected official that actively compaigned for the amendment to protect marriage at the last election ?"

Resp: "yes"

3. "Thank you, I am announcing my candidacy for the open seat of the governor of Ohio in 2006. The democrats want to run trash TV show host Jerry Springer in that election. Would you be willing to support my candidacy for the governor of Ohio ?"

Resp: "yes"

4. "Thank you, would you be willing to make a donation to my - Blackwell for governor - campaign ?"

Resp: "yes"

5. "Thank you, can a staff member from my campaign call you back in a few minutes to accept your donation ?"

Resp: "yes"

6. "Thank you for your support, expect a call from my campaign staff."

Resp: "yes"

About 45 mins later we get a call from a staffer asking to speak to whoever requested a callback. Phone # is blocked "Out of area".

3. I agree, the Repubs who are lining up have too much of the taint of
corruption...they need completely outside blood. Dems have a real chance to take some statewide offices, and perhaps a Senate seat.
