"Since 1991, Ohio has required that women of all ages wait 24 hours and obtain information about abortion's risks and alternatives before the procedure can occur. Until Thursday, however, women could receive the information via telephone or videotape. Now, they must confer face-to-face with a physician, then make a second trip to the doctor to have the abortion."

Attorney General Jim Petro declares this a 'victory for the unborn.'

Does he think that women who want an abortion are going to be dissuaded by a simple meeting with a doctor? Hell no. Let me see....a woman says I did not want to talk to a doctor so I changed my mind and I am not having the abortion. Yeah right. Women who make this decision are desperate enough to use a coat hanger to get rid of unwanted pregnancies, but they will change their minds to avoid a doctors appt.?

There are many counties in Ohio where an abortion is not available. So women have to travel to big cities twice. More gop scheming to make it more difficult. What a bunch of aholes.
