A plea from someone in NC ...

to the powers that be at WCKY in Cincinnati, is there any way at all that you could cut back on the "paid programing" after midnight? WCKY is the only AAR station that is powerful enough to reach my area at night and unfortunately AAR progaming ends after midnight--our prime listening time here in NC.

1. where in NC are you that you can get that station

I wasn't able to get it for a single mile of my trip home from Wilson taking either the eastern (via 95, PA turnpike) or the western (40 to 77 to 79) routes.

2. Winston-Salem

and it fades in and out. I can only get it at night. I can almost always get it in my car in the evening--especially just before dawn. I think 1530 WCKY is a 50,000 watt station so it's pretty powerful. I just can't stand the preaching in the wee hours.

3. don't they have Malloy on for a half hour at midnight,?then they usually

have a church service on at 12:30am,because you know you gotta listen to a church service at 12:30 at night cuz if you don't Satan will take your soul while you sleep,and I think we all know how painful that can be.Of course they have to have Lionel on instead of Malloy 10PM-midnight,I guess we're just too delicate to listen to Malloy.The only other broadcast station that has AAR around here does the same except they don't have Malloy at all.And they both put Ed Schultz on instead of Randi Rhodes,of course,and put tape of Randi Rhodes on at 6,which is usually preempted by minor league baseball or school basketball or football or cars going around in circles.And on weekends they're afraid to put on any AAR shows,like Robert Kennedy's show.In other words,they suck.
