The Contract With Ohio
I am posting today to tell everyone about The Contract With Ohio. This contract was designed to tell the voters here in Ohio where the Democrats here stand. We stand for a government that doesn't take advantage of its people. We stand for politicans who are looking out for us, not themselves, their wallets or their friends.

These are the five pledges of the Contract:

  • We pledge to be good stewards of your tax money and help rebuild Ohio as a place where people want to live and work.
  • We pledge to end pay for play politics and regain the trust of the people in their government.
  • We pledge to end the culture of corruption that has plagued the state and return government to the people.
  • We pledge to work hard for all Ohioans, not for the special interests.
  • We pledge to listen to all of our constituents, making their priorities our priorities.

We started The Contract With Ohio because we know that a clear picture needs to be painted for Ohioians. It needs to show that Democrats will work together to fight the forces of corruption that have entrenched themselves within our state and federal government.

We need to show that Ohioans have a choice in who the choose to lead the state. They can vote for honest, hardworking people that will put the citizens above making money for their friends or they can vote for more of the same corruption that we have seen these past few years.

To date, these Ohio incumbants/candidates have signed the contract:

Statewide Races:

  • Governor - Bryan Flannery
  • Governor - Ted Strickland
  • Attorney General - Subodh Chandra

Congressional Races:

  • 7th District - Tony Bourne
  • 15th District - Mark Losey

State Senate Races:

  • 11th District - Teresa Fedor
  • 32nd District - Marc Dann
  • 33rd District - Robert Hagan

State House Races:

  • 4th District - Simeon Talley
  • 19th District - Emily Kreider
  • 52nd District - William J. Healy II
  • 80th District - Chris Redfern
  • 90th District - Duane Grassbaugh
  • 91st District - Dan Dodd

Check out our website to follow the initiative's progress.

1. Welcome to DU.
If we don't make the elections fair you and all those earnest politicians in Ohio and elsewhere are wasting their time.

Time wisely spent would be used UNRIGGING the elections.

2. Wasted Time?
We don't believe taking a stand on ethics is a waste of time. We can walk and chew gum at the same time.
