I took one of 4 buses from Akron/Kent area with the AFSC (American Friends Service Committee) to DC last weekend. We left Kent at midnight Friday night and arrived in DC at 7:30 a.m.
It was a most amazing day and I couldn't get over the diversity of the crowd there. This was a slice of everyman/everywoman America and it was such an inspiring and hopeful feeling to be with that many people who are all awake and have their eyes open to what's happening to our country! Several different people I spoke with estimated the crowd at between 300 - 500,000, and without exception noted that the MSM would report the crowd at 100,000.
The thing that hit me hardest - and yes, I've known for a long time that the MSM is corporate owned and controlled - but the fact that a quarter million people gathered in one city in this country and it didn't generate major coverage was a fresh reminder of how on our own we are.
