Oklahoma seriously needs some liberal or moderate talk radio.
I'm so sick of all the freaking conservative talk radio and all the bashing of the liberals. They are hypocrites.
Sometimes I'd like to listen to something besides music at work. My only choices are music with more commercials than music or conservative talk radio. I guess I have to get satallite radio for work. It sucks.

1. I hear ya. I can't even find decent news most of the day, just NPR
twice a day. I hate to have to pay for sattelite, but that's probably the only choice.

2. Dept. of Defense blocks AAR but not Limbaugh
Oklahoma has lot's of military bases. On all of them, a person can listen to Rush Limbaugh via computer, but DoD blocks Air America.

This state really does need a liberal talk radio show.

3. Tulsa has 2 RW talk radio stations + 1 religious right station
1170am was KVOO, a country-western station with a 60 year history. Overnight, just in time for the 2002 (?) election, it became KFAQ with Glenn Beck, LIngraham, etc, along with the local RWer Michael DelGiorno who helped defeat the previous republican mayor and now can blame everything on the democratic mayor.

4. Satellite or pod casts
are your best bets to get liberal talk radio: I'm lucky enough to live in LA so I get Air America on the local progressive station (there are two liberal stations actually), and I get it on my XM satellite system. My local station has a different line-up than Air America though. While it plays Al Franken and Randi Rhodes at the regular times, I'm lucky enough to get Stephanie Miller in the mornings. If you haven't heard her yet, check out her website. You can download podcasts of her show... Stephanie Miller

It might cost a little more, but it is worth it...

5. Let's face it, we in Okla. are only getting news from RW
newspapers, radio, and tv. They smirk so bad on the local news when it comes to their religious rightousness that it's impossible to listen or watch. While on my way to vote I meant to put my DU bumper sticker somewhere on my truck but forgot. No matter, there were only a handful of people there voting. I figure maybe the repubs will stay home feeling comfy with the redness of this State. Silly me, never happen.

6. I agree
All I hear on 1170 & 740am is RW talking heads. They spew out hatred. Sean Hannity is sometimes a good laugh. But there are times I have to turn it off becuase I may have a wreck from all the shouting I do at hearing his lies.
