Subject: Your Vote Counts Prof. Copeland ! Merry election Day !!

Dear Prof. Copeland,
Hey, I am in your poly sci. class, I'm the guy at the Frat house (KA)who was going home to vote in Ada. Well as you might know there
was a pitched battle between Darrel Nemecek. (D) and Todd Thomsen (R). Now on my way down to Ada I was pulled over by a policeman for speeding and lucky for my sake given a warning. Now I just wanted to let you know that I am a major get out the vote kind of guy. I registered people at my high school, about 30 of them out of a class of 148. I call my good friend Rebecca, who is a democrat, and told her that I almost got a speeding ticket while on my way to vote (I was still 10 min. away from ada, my phone half dead and beeping, and it was 6:34, really it was 6:34) , she sudden yelled that she did not vote and said she would most likey run over and just "stamp the roster." I got to my house, which is about one block from the polling place, and honked my horn about 6 or 7 times to get my mom out
( who was a little angry at me ) and told her she needed to vote which she did straight democrat, as did I. Darrel Nemecek won by 2 votes. So in conclusion if I didn't go to Ada tonight in my pursuit of unwavering support of democracy, even though it cost me about $7 in gas, Darrel Nemecek would not have been elected. So one person can make a difference, they can and I have proven it.

P.S. Good Job At The OETA Broadcast !

Wow! The result of the contest in Oklahoma House 25 in Ada, pending a recount:

FOR STATE REPRESENTATIVE, DISTRICT NO. 25 (27 OF 27)
4,796 50.01% DARRELL E. NEMECEK (DEM)
4,794 49.99% TODD THOMSEN (REP)

EVERY VOTE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE
