The names of Democratic candidates will be listed first on this year's general election ballot in Oklahoma.

The Democratic Party's name was drawn from an envelope by state Republican Party Chairman Gary Jones.

This is the first time the Democrats will be listed first since the drawing for ballot positions began in 1996.

The drawings began after a state law putting Democratic candidates first on the ballot was ruled unconstitutional.
