what's the scoop on activism here in Salem? I would be open to any info concerning ways to be involved in my new community. I believe I am in the third congressional district. Is Janet Taylor, mayor a dem?
My husband and I are loving this little city so far and are proud to call ourselves 'Marion County Hot-tubers'...

1. Check the phone book for "Oregon Peaceworks" number |

They have an office downtown on Commercial Street, above a tattoo parlor.
They are the successors to the Nuclear Freeze movement that was strong in the state in the '80s.
I lived in Oregon until '82 and know the director of Oregon Peaceworks, Peter Bergel.
