Kerry may make campaign appearance in Eugene

EUGENE, Ore. (AP)

Democratic presidential nominee John Kerry, already scheduled to visit Portland and Medford toward the end of this week, may make a stop in Eugene as well.

"As I understand it, the Kerry campaign team has several advance teams out and looking for sites," campaign spokeswoman Lisa Sohn told The Register-Guard newspaper in Eugene.

It's not yet clear whether Kerry's visit could come Thursday or Friday. ..

But Pat Riggs Henson, chairwoman of the Democratic Party of Lane County, said she was told Kerry was more likely to make a brief visit on Friday. ..
