Liquor Store in the SW Portland or Beaverton?
I'm looking for single malt scotch and European pear brandy.

Suggestions? If you know of a place anywhere in Portland, please share.

Thanks.

1. I know of two offhand ....
1) On Barbur near Capital Hwy. Catty-corner to the McDonald's.

2) Behind the Fred Meyer on Beaverton Hillsdale Hwy. You can see it best from Scholl's Ferry Rd., behind the 76 station.

4. Last we visited the Cap Hwy/Barbur Blvd store...
...it was open until 9pm or 10pm, but only some nights.

FWIW.

2. I know this is late....
...but why would you buy European pear brandy when Oregon distillers make world-class eau-de-vie of pear?

It's the best I've ever had. I used to live in Germany and Austria, and I would make the trip to Switzerland just to buy this stuff. Now with the lunatic restrictions on what you can bring on a plane, I couldn't bring any back with me if I made a trip to Switzerland from here.

I keep hoping that they will start exporting it.

I will give the local Oregon stuff a try. I'm always disappointed, though, because the Morand Williams is really that good.
