The DPO is letting Oregon Democrats know when Democratic presidential campaigns visit Oregon.

United States Senator Barack Obama will hold a community kickoff in Portland as part of his national Countdown to Change movement.

The event begins at 8 pm on Friday, September 7 at the Oregon Convention Center at 777 N.E. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd. in Portland.

General admission is $25.

Event Tips From Obama Campaign:

-Children under 16 are free

-The best way to contribute is online where you will receive an e-ticket

-These e-tickets will be used to expedite the check-in process

-You may purchase more than one “ticket,” but please be sure to list all of your guest’s names. RSVPs are required and they must have everyone’s name

-This is a rally style fundraising event. There will however be seating available for those that need it

-If you forget your e-ticket or you purchase a block of tickets and your guests arrive at different times, you will still be able to check in

-Please park in the garage or consider taking the MAX
