Angry listener crashes into KXL radio building

03:06 PM PDT on Friday, March 14, 2008

An angry listener is blamed for smashing a car through the front of a Portland radio station Friday.

It happened at the Rose City Radio building on SW Bancroft. Police and radio officials think it was someone angry with an opinion from one of the station’s talk radio shows, of which many are news and political commentary.

The Toyota Corolla smashed through the front breaking glass and metal, but no one was hurt.

General manager Tim McNamara said he was relieved no one was injured since listeners come in and out of the station all day picking up tickets and prizes. He said they planned to move some barriers closer to the doors.

'Lard' Larson is on this station.

Maybe the revolution has started & I'm not in on it.

1. Call me a wimp,
but if I don't like what I'm hearing on the radio, I either switch to another station or turn it off.

4. KXL is a RW hate radio outlet in Portland, Oregon
They have a brief item on their own website with pictures here:

I don't live in that market anymore, but their website indicates their schedule includes Bill O'Reilly, Lars Larson and Michael Savage. Since this indicates their demo consists mostly of the mentally disturbed, it doesn't surprise me at all that this would happen.

O' Reilly, Lars Larson, The Savage Wiener, etc. According to the Freepers Larson was on at the time. But Larson doesn't think it was aimed at him.

6. Why waste a car and jail time on piece-of-shit KXL?
You wouldn't wanna wipe a turd's ass with a KXL rag.

KXL is full-on garbage.

Just turn it off.
