Who do you like for Portland Mayor.....?
I haven't spent much time on the race. I prefer Sho Dozono at this point.

1. I have to admit that I haven't been paying much attention...
Like Edwards, my first choice Randy Lennard, is not in this race.

I guess I would vote for Adams only because I am familiar with him.

However, because of the shitty little politics they have been playing at city hall, I don't support anyone.

Once we choose our nominee "O", I'll pay more attention to the state race.

I am for Novick!!!

I think he has run a grassroots movement that deserves our respect and suport...

Plus he is so short, how can you not like him.

But let his size fool you, he is a fighter.

As a lawyer and AG, he has a proven history of fighting for the, pardon the pun, little guy.

I don't read the Oregonian, so I know nothing about Dozono.

Why are you for him?

2. Sho Dozono is a business person with a wide range of experience...

He built Azumano Travel from a small company to a multi state leader. He also worked extensively with a wide range of community leaders and government contacts to show he can build coalitions and get stuff done.

Although I have some respect for the former Katz runner Adams, I feel much more comfortable with someone who has extensive experience handling budgets and finding ways to make things work. I think we are bound to experience some shortfalls in the future and know that Adams loves projects that have cost the city millions with a limited benefit. Some of these projects could have been looked at in other ways and I think we need someone who has the know how to weigh all the options ad cut back spending in some ways.

I also can relate with Dozono a lot because he has really had to be creative to find ways to finance his business projects. I'm also a business person so I have a lot of respect for people who can do what it takes to maintain and build. It has lead to a variety of ethics criticism in the ways he chose to finance these projects although nothing illegal. None of these criticisms bothers me personally. He says he has learned from these errors and I tend to believe him.

I like Novick but after a short review I wonder if Merkley would be more effective in the US senate as well as more electible. Merkley is a proven and notable demacratic leader.

That said. I'm not that up on things so I'm also looking for info.

3. Thanks, I'll give Dozono a look to see if I can relate...
Seems like I've heard your statement about Novick somewhere else...

Lets see, oh yeah they said something like that about Obama.

Bet-ya' didn't see that one coming.

I like outsiders and under-dogs going up against the entrenched.
