KPOJ to pre-empt AAR with PSU sports? |
|
They've been promoting the big football season opener with Portland State against Western State (who? which western state) on Thursday all week, starting before and pre-empting AAR coverage of Bush's speech????

no AAR coverage of the Repug Hatepit tonight, just PSU rolling over the Western State Sisters of the Poor... I'm sure it was a prior commitment...Since most college games occur on Saturdays it's ok because KPOJ just reruns programs on the weekends... But during basketball season it will be different...they play during the week and since the station is increasing power...really...PSU basketball? A mediocre program in the Big Sky ain't exactly Must listen to broadcasting...we are not Kentucky or North Carolina!

I went to PSU. Believe me, there are a lot of people there who just don't care about politics much -- but they'll tune in to the sports. So... what comes on after the sportscast? Mike Malloy! Hehehehehe...

It's appalling how little students know or even seem to care about politics at PSU. Some of the classes I have had to take for my degree are in public administration- and I'd estimate that a good 2/3's of the grad students are utterly clueless. I kid you not. And these are people going into government positions!
I think a little accidental AAR might be just the right medicine.
