Activists teach "know your rights & non-violence training" as Occupy Eugene rallies continue

EUGENE, Ore. (KMTR, KGW) -- As “Occupy Wall Street” and similar rallies continue across the nation, there are plans for another Occupy rally in Eugene, but before it happens, local groups are trying to educate protesters about their rights.
Wednesday, October 12th, 2011, the Civil Liberties Defense Center and Community Alliance for Lane County (CALC) will hold a “Know Your Rights and Non-Violence Training Event,” in Eugene.
Thursday, October 6th, 2011, an estimated 150 people took part in the first large Occupy Eugene rally in front of the West 11th Bank of America in downtown Eugene.
Protesters stayed through 6 p.m. causing no issues or problems and there were no arrests ...
