Is there a deadline on how to get a PA absentee ballot?

My sister (who is going to school in OH) wants me to find out the details about getting a PA absentee ballot. I figured there wouldn't be any better place to start than right here! So if you could be so kind as to give me any details or suggestions about absentee ballots and how they work...I would be so thankful!!!

3. PA Absentee Ballot and Registration Deadlines - CORRECTION: SOONER

I don't think those dates are correct.

The PA Department of State gives these:

Last day to REGISTER before the NOVEMBER election....................................................OCTOBER 6
Last day to apply for a civilian absentee ballot........................................................OCTOBER 28
Last day for County Boards of Elections to receive voted absentee ballots...............OCTOBER 31.

4. Post 3 is correct, post 1 is all wrong

The dates in post 1 are definitely all incorrect. The correct dates are in the post 3.

Here is official information from the State of Pennsylvania:

The voter registration forms must be received by the county voting office by this monday (Oct. 6th), not just postmarked. Each voting form must be signed in ink.

5. For God's sake people LOOK AT THE DATE ON POST #1. You've dug up something from 2006.

The information I posted WAS correct -- back then, two years ago.

Please, we have enough to deal with for this election without this kind of nonsense. I just got an e-mail this AM from a recognized national voter organization with the WRONG day of the week for our Pennsylvania registration deadline. (It is NEXT MONDAY, Oct. 6.)

Please everybody be careful about what they post in terms of information. Check dates etc, before hitting send.
