Time for Tim Murphy to go
After listening to him in the "debate" regarding the troop escalation in Iraq, I have to say this guy is either delusional or nuts. I was glad to help Altmire take Hart out of the picture, but this guy represents my district. Anyone else who feels the same contact me, especially if you're in the district. It's time to get the Dem party in Westmlnd Co to be pro-active.

1. having met that weasel many times I have been hoping we could get rid of him
I am ready to get rid of him and I think we need to start now.

I think we have to get a candidate now...not next year..and we gotta get that candidate's face all over the place and hammer home what a jackass Murphy is.

2. Sorry for not responding sooner
The Hempfield Twp meeting is this Thursday and I hope to do some brainstorming to choose that candidate now. Since I still don't really know anyone in the area ( I'm such a social loser!) I'll try and document his votes and campaign contributors to al least show what a schmuck he is. Mabey you could join us! It's at Swede Hill playground at 7:00 PM.

4. I truely believe he will get a strong candidate in 2008
I remember reading a article from The Hill talking about the new DCCC Chairman Chris Van Hollen and how he's gonna target Republicans with ethics questions, he named the PA-18 as one of the target districts.

Let's fact it Murphy is too conservative for this district(bush only got 54 percent here) if he was a moderate like Charlie Dent of the 15th District I would care but Dr.Tim is just too radical for me.

It killed me this last election to see the Democrats having strong candidates in the 4th,6th,7th,8th and 15th districts and here I was stuck with a candidate that could only raise enough money to buy a new car.

It's time to get active, it's time to give Tim Murphy the boot, who's with me?

5. Brad I think it's time to get past the money issue
We can't put up candidates based on who can raise enough money to support a good media campaign. We've got to get back to putting up candidates who understand what the job is and has the intelligence and background to get it done. It's up to us to get people to focus on what really matters and spread the word to support people that can do the job. I can deal with pragmatic politics to a point, but when you take the pragmatic route, you'll always get less than you deserve. I want a Representative that is committed to doing the job and it's up to us to make it possible. The only way we can do that is to put boots on the ground to fight against the influence of money and established power. We can do it and we need you to help.

6. Thanks for the link, but it bothers me
The fact that Sean Logan supports the idea of giving public money to support a for-profit entertainment resource tells me this guy just doesn't get it. It's well past the time that we pay for corporate welfare. I don't like Murpy, but I also don't want to have to be riding this guys sorry butt to make him do the right thing.

8. Democrats wanted him to run in 2006
But rejected the offer as did Former State Tresurer and ex-republican Barbara Hafer and tv sports personality Stan Savran.

We need a strong candidate with money to oust Murphy because Tim is a mainstay in the area, let me explain. Even before Murphy was a Congressman and a State Senator Murphy was a regular on KDKA(pittsburgh's CBS affliate)from the mid 70's to 1995 as Dr. Tim giving out tips on how to run a family(Murphy was a shrink before entering politics in 1996) with Murphy long existed presence in Western Pennsylvania it will be hard to vote him out cause people have known him for years and won't vote him out unless they have to and plus he's never faced a strong candidate and voters won't vote for a candidate they know nothing about.

But it can be done, if the Democrats would of focused there attention on the whole state and not just Eastern and Northeastern Pennsylvania, Murphy and Charlie Dent of the 15th District would of been ousted. I mean it took the Democrats till September of '06 to figure out that Jason Altmire could beat Melissa Hart even though alot of though she was gone from the beginning. And it's sad that the Democrats didn't fund a candidate to run againist Charlie Dent of the 15th, a write-in candidate got onto the ballot in november for the Democrats and Dent only got 54 percent(compared to 59 percent he got in '04)

It's time to take action now.

9. Any chance of Chad Kluko running again?
I suspect he might have won, had this business with Tim Murphy using his Congressional staff for personal and political purposes come out sooner than it did.

10. I've still got his sticker on my car
I think he would be a good choice but he needs a ground team to spread the word. Beyond that, the last campaign was a true clusterf@#k You can't win if the organization putting out your message doesn't have a plan or the people to make it work. I'll admit I'm a neophyte but I understand that most people only see the big picture when thy're trying to avoid the mouintain in front of them. I'm pretty much a pragmatist and can support Chad as the candidate if he's willing to go for it. I'll back him up agaain unless someone better crawls out of the woodwork..
