Hi ,
Hundreds of you have made comments to the Federal Communications Commission to protest more media consolidation. Now, you have a chance to tell the FCC how you feel in person. The FCC will hold an official public hearing on media ownership on Friday, February 23rd in Harrisburg. Please come to the hearing and testify in opposition to big media getting bigger.

Background:
All five FCC Commissioners are expected to attend this hearing, which is the third formal public hearing on media ownership sponsored by the Commission. The FCC is considering now whether to weaken limits on how many media outlets any one company can own nationwide, as well as within a specific city or town. The more consolidated our media marketplace gets, the less local news is covered, fewer viewpoints are heard, and the harder it is to find independently produced arts and culture.
The hearing will take place on Friday, February 23rd in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the Sunoco Theatre at the Whitaker Center for the Performing Arts at 222 Market Street, Harrisburg, PA 17101. The FCC could change the location or time of the hearing, so it's important to let PennPIRG know if you'll be attending so we can keep you updated.
