I see no difference in his votes from Rick Santorum's votes.

He should have voted Naye on the vote to sensor moveon.org

The focus of the United States Senate should be on ending the war in Iraq, not on criticizing newspaper advertisements. The amendment was a stunt designed only to score cheap political points while what he should be doing is focusing on getting us out of Iraq.

1. Really? You see no difference?

Voted YES on restricting employer interference in union organizing. (Jun 2007)
Voted YES on increasing minimum wage to $7.25. (Feb 2007)
Privatization drains money from guaranteed benefits. (Sep 2006)
The crisis is privatization. (Sep 2006)
Opposes Social Security privatization. (Feb 2006)
Voted NO on establishing reserve funds & pre-funding for Social Security. (Mar 2007)
Voted YES on redeploying US troops out of Iraq by March 2008. (Mar 2007)
Bring our troops home as soon as possible. (Feb 2006)

Committed to Affirmative Action and diverse workforce. (May 2002)
No constitutional ban on gay marriage; civil unions ok. (Oct 2005)

Voted YES on reinstating $1.15 billion funding for the COPS Program. (Mar 2007)
Fight for more funding for public education. (Feb 2006)
Opposes school vouchers. (Nov 2004)

I really don't care how anyone voted on the moveon statment because means nothing other than that moveon apparently is relevant enough to warrant some of the US Senate's time. You probably wouldn't see Santorum's fascist jackboot if it kicked you in the ass.

2. No, it isn't exactly like all of santorscum's votes, but
when it comes to voting away our rights and a stupid condemming of an ad that accurately points out that Petraeus is only a military puppet doing what he's told right or wrong then, yes he is exactly like santorscum. I think we can find other democratic candidates that will do all the good you pointed out he did and won't allow the bushies the right to spy on us and I'm sure the next guy will be too busy addressing real issues than to bother joining in with this stupid rightwing whining, especially when they are guilty of it themselves as exampled by the endorsement of the swiftboaters by not holding them in contempt.

7. Well, as long as we're name calling here...
Your should be a contraction You are = You're
...your to stupid is a double deduction in points, because it shoudl be.... you're TOO stupid...

Now, I've been following Senaor Casey's voting record, and I can damn sure tell you that it's one hell of a lot better than that nut case Santorum.

Can we therefore, evolve the conversation about this vote and to Casey and start talking about the all and powerful senior Senator ... you know him, you may hate him, you gotta wonder about his "single bullet theory"... I give you... Senator Arlen Specter!!!!

Now THERE'S someone we should be talking about dumping, folks!

5. I just read in GD, that he also voted
for the Kyl-Lieberman ammendment. You are absolutely right. What the hell is the matter with him. No wonder Rendell beat him, he can't stand up to anyone. And let's not forget the FISA bill he gave into.

6. Can we impeach a senator as Casey needs impeached?
I have no representation any longer except marginally from Doyle in the h of r who needs to do more than what he is doing. I chalked it up to inexperience that Doyle didn't do more in the past, but you have been reelected a few times now so no excuses.

8. Gee, what an uplifting discussion! Makes me proud to be back in PA
Pardon the sarcasm.

Casey was not the candidate I stood for in the primaries. He was the choice of Rendell and the party leadership. I don't think he was the best candidate, but he had the party support and that means a lot. We got pretty much what I expected, a conservative, corporate democrat. It's still a lot better than religiously insane Sicky Rantorum. I understand the rage, but it might be worthwhile to re-frame your view. These tools are elected to represent our interests, if they don't know them they're not doing their job, or you're not doing yours. If they know what they're doing that is against the interest and wishes of those they represent, all we can do is toss them to the curb as soon as possible.
