"Since the start of the year, more than 100,000 Pennsylvanians have registered to vote, according to the Department of State. An additional 58,000 have changed their registration so they can vote in the Democratic primary, with more than half of those changes occurring in the first two weeks of March. About 5.7 million Pennsylvanians voted in the 2004 presidential race.

In Lehigh and Northampton counties, 5,000-plus new voters have registered since Jan. 1. In the first two weeks of March, 2,164 residents changed their registration to Democrat, 117 to Republican."

While Obama has a full scale effort throughout the state to increase the number of registered Democratic voters, Hillary's registration efforts have been concentrated in Senior Centers.

2. I believe it is people who want influence

I personally believe this is people who want to have a sincere influence on Hillary vs. Obama, and not Limbaugh's Dems for a day. There has been no organized local effort to my knowledge in PA to get Republicans to switch over to screw up the election.

I am guessing these are people who would be registered as independents if they lived in other states - they can go either way, and they want to go where the action is.

3. this is another dirty trick deal

SINCE day one the right has tried to sink Hillary. of course these same cross voters will vote McCain in november. their is no limit to what length greed will go to.
The right knows they can't beat Hillary
where is rudy,rhomney etc. etc. you know the ones the bought media claimed would beat Hillary.

4. 2 of them are my parents! Yea!!!

They are both in their 60's - the typical blue collar Catholics the MSM keeps talking about. They have been registered Republicans all their lives and have decided they are voting for Obama. They are sick of the GOP, think McCain is nuts and don't want Hillary either. My father likes that Obama speaks to the American people as "adults", had integrity, intelligence and a calm manner.

They are not part of Limbaugh's chaos crap. They really truly like Obama. :toast:
