DFA says: Show Tim Murphy Some LOVE! (PA18) (9/5/08)

DFA members assembled at Tim Murphy's office, held signs for passing traffic, and then worked a sidewalk family event in Mt. Lebanon, PA. They passed out a couple of hundred fliers (text below) and provided quite a surprise for the people working the Tim Murphy booth! The republican cowards actually had the mounted (bicycle) police come and stand behind them while we took up residence at the opposite corner. We had a great response from the crowd as we reminded them that Tim Murphy is, indeed, a true bush/cheney Republican.



If the Republicans are going to keep pretending they're not Republicans and keep running from the failures of Bush and Cheney then we say -

"You can run but you cannot hide!"

"HECK OF A JOB TIMMY"

With the help of Tim Murphy and the other Republicans, we have set NEW RECORDS.

This year's record deficit is almost $ 500 BILLION dollars. (When I took office there was a budget SURPLUS!)

Our national debt is now almost $ TEN TRILLION dollars. Another new record! When I took office the debt was only $ 5.7 Trillion. We almost doubled it!

We're now paying a HALF TRILLION DOLLARS per year just on the debt INTEREST.

The share of the debt EVERY American owes is $ 32,000.00 - even babies owe that much!

Being a good Bush/Cheney Republican, you believe like we do that we should cut taxes on the wealthiest Americans, keep spending like crazy, and leave the debt to our children.

This is a legacy that you, Tim Murphy, can be proud of. For years to come your constituents and their children, and their children's children, and their children's children's children....will be paying this debt. They'll be remembering us for a long time!

You must have been so proud when Vice President Cheney (while raising money for your re-election), called you "an excellent member of Congress" and told you "the President and I have been grateful to have Tim by our side."

In closing, just let me say on behalf of myself, George W. Bush, and Dick Cheney,

The point is that this technique can be used against any repug, from McPalin down to the line.

Haven't see this book, either, but I'm trying to get through Thom Hartmann's "Screwed" whilst running for local office myself.
