Reports from anyone on the ground would be helpful.

1. It's hard to tell. You never see puke yard signs or bumper stickers versus plenty of
Democratic ones. Kerry did well in 2004 and the trend has been for more Dems to move in. So, reality tells you that the burbs should go for Obama by some margin.

But, we in MontCo do "vote" on Sequoia machines, so you never know. Add in the caging done by the repuke county governments and it is probably a toss-up at this point as far as the "official" outcome.

2. In lower merion township there is a lot of Obama support
Everyone I know loves Obama, there are signs up all over my neighborhood (Obama). My neighbors and I have been making jokes about Palin for the past two weeks. Even my mother is volunteering at the Ardmore Obama headquarters, she is 72 and has never volunteered for any politician.

3. in Bucks county we are running neck and neck
I am in a battleground town in Bucks and we are running 50-50... I am not seeing as many Obama signs as I did in the primary...I am a bit worried and not just for Obama. We got Murphy in as our Congressman and I want to see him stay there.

4. PA. gets lots of ads, but not much face time with Obama
Edited on Thu Sep-18-08 09:37 AM by JPZenger
There is a little frustration because the Obama campaign spends tons of money on ads in PA, but he doesn't spend much time in PA at events open to the public. Many of his trips to PA have been events with very limited capacity. Only 2 events had large capacities - at State College and Independence Mall in Phila.
