New Castle: Police called to weekend Republican rally

NEW LOCAL: Police called to weekend Republican rally

Although there are differing opinions about the cause of the controversy, William Schafer, the county’s Republican party chairman, called Saturday’s gathering “a very good meeting.” He explained it was not really a meeting, rather a rally to introduce party members to Republican candidates.

What happened, he said, was that a pair of fellow Republicans — John Altman and Bill Heasley — “were harassing our people real bad.”

Love it!

1. This story just cracks me up.
I spent a lot of time in New Castle back when I was married. This is just so amusing.
