Dem. Congressman Kanjorski Behind in Some Polls vs. anti-immigrant Barletta

There also was a story about this race on www.npr.org a couple days ago.

Some polls are showing Dem. incumbent Congressman Kanjorski behind in the polls against Lou Barletta, Mayor of Hazelton. Barletta made his name with an anti-immigrant ordinance that was overturned in Federal court.

This is a surprise to me. Kanjorski never had trouble with reelection in the past.

The above story describes a new poll that found a close race with one-quarter of voters saying they were undecided.
