I was there 3 weeks ago and I never saw a single Obama/Biden election sign while I was there for 3 days. My wife has voted Democrat consistently for the past 3 or 4 elections and she has already voted for Obama by absentee ballot (from Toronto, Canada), unfortunately she last lived in Harford Co., MD and her vote would have been much more useful in PA. I can't believe how Republican Lycoming Co. is outside of a Williamsport itself. It's fucking depressing and makes me more determined to never ever move there. I know her best friend's father (age 75 or so) is a life-long Democrat and he has sworn he will not vote for Obama. I have no doubt it has everything to do with his skin colour and ethnicity. It makes me sick.
My wife joked to her family that McCain/Palin makes her see "McPain" and the joke got no reaction. In some ways they are nice people, but fucking hell are they ever conservative. Luckily the voters in Philly and Pittsburgh will probably push Obama through, but most of the rest of PA is so damn redneck conservative. Sorry about the rant.
Good luck in PA! You'll need it.
