I am trading in my 1995 Jeep Wrangler on a SMART car under the Cash for Clunkers Program. The issue I have is it worth it to remove the Full Metal Doors and the Hard Top and sell them independent of the Jeep or just trade the Jeep as is. The reason I asked this is the full metal doors are in decent shape (The passenger side is in good condition, the Driver sides does close and stays shut but is in poor condition). The Hard top is difficult to remove but is removable (As are the doors). The full size doors uses the same hinges as half metal doors that came with the soft top. Please note the doors work for all CJ-7s and Wrangler made before 1996, technically there is no 1996 model for Jeeps, the last year of the old style was 1995, the subsequent style started with the 1997 model year. Thus my hard top and doors will NOT work on any post 1996 Jeeps but will work on pre 1996 Jeep Wranglers and CJ7s.
My question is there a market for the Hard Top and Full Metal Doors? If not, why keep them? if there is a market, what is the best way to sell them? (And I am looking for something other then E-bay, E-bay looks like the best choice but I prefer to sell them quickly and not on the net). I am also looking at removing the following items and selling them second hand. Comments on any of them would be appreciated:
