Specter secures Lehigh Valley endorsements
Tomorrow morning Sen. Arlen Specter will receive endorsements from the Lehigh Valley's Democratic party establishment. The support doesn't come as much of a surprise as Specter already has the weight of the White House and Gov. Ed Rendell behind his re-election bid.

Almost all of the area's major Democratic players will be out at the Four Points Sheraton at 9:45 am on Monday morning to pledge their allegiance to Specter. The only person missing from the list is Bethlehem Mayor John Callahan, who may be a little busy right now raising money for his own campaign to unseat Congressman Charlie Dent.

Some of the Democratic leaders include:

* Lehigh County Executive Don Cunningham
* Northampton County Executive John Stoffa
* Allentown Mayor Ed Pawlowski
* Easton Mayor Sal Panto
* Northampton County Democratic Chairman Joe Long
* Lehigh County Democratic Chairman Rick Daugherty
* Carbon County Democratic Chairman Frank Jacobs
* Bucks County Democratic Chairman John Cordisco
