This Pittsburgher wants the gold.
Only a few more inches to snowiest month ever! Might as well go for it now.

Now that's climate change you can believe in.

1. I saw on the news this morning that we could hit the record after today.
Everybody I know is starting to feel a little crazy and fed up!

2. Keep smiling and ignore those facial tics.
What's fun now is where to put the snow that I shovel. The snow bank by my mailbox is higher than the mailbox! So to dig out the mailbox I have to either heave it way up there or walk it down the road. Definitely a pain in the back.

3. LOL!
Facial tics...you've got that right! I know what you mean about the aching back. I've been shoveling snow off the deck. Throwing that heavy snow over the railing is a real killer!

:toast:

4. Looks like we'll get it
Lots more room to put shoveled snow in Tarentum than here in Lville. It's almost to the point we are walking in a maze a la The Shining. My dog is like, swimming in it.

I know you were joking but let's not further confuse global warming with local weather like some idiot weatherman on channel 2 did recently.

5. That weatherman comes up with some real comments, doesn't he?
At Christmastime I heard him complain because Mike Tomlin had scheduled a practice for the Steelers. Mr. Weatherman said, "That's nice that he (Coach Tomlin) took away Jesus' birthday."

I don't tune into the weather to get religious lectures. I sent KDKA an e-mail saying just that.

6. No I wasn't joking. I said climate change, not global warming.
Most of this snow came from the south, I watched it. Right from the Caribbean where I think the water is warmer than usual. Causing more moisture in the air.

Yeah I can imagine being in a city is even worse. No place to put the snow.

7. Oh I see
My mistake...you did not say global warming. Guess I had that weather guy on my brain.

8. You know what's nice about it?
Seriously. It's still white, even in the city. We are much cleaner and greener. When I first moved here the sky was not a normal color and the snow wouldn't stay clean for am hour much less weeks.

9. Made it! Snowiest month ever.
February 2010 now ranks as the snowiest month ever. The previous record for snowiest month was 40.2 in January of 1978.

I do not want to go for snowiest season ever.

The total snowfall for the season so far is 69.3 inches. This ranks
as the 8th snowiest season on record.

The snowiest seasons...

82.0 1950-51.
78.5 1913-14.
76.8 1993-94.
76.0 1960-61.
74.5 1995-96.
72.1 1992-93.
70.7 1969-70.
69.3 2009-10.
40.6 normal.
