"The recommendation process in the 12th District is transparent, representative, and fair," said Patrick McKenna, spokesman for the state Democratic Party. "The recommendation convention rules are broadly inclusive and designed so that as many citizens . . . as possible can have their voices heard."
Patrick McKenna should also add that they are "broadly inclusive and designed" so that "as many citizens" as possible will all be stacking the deck for Mark Critz by County Chairs according to the Pittsburgh Post Gazette yesterday:
http://community.post-gazette.com/blogs/earlyreturns/archive/2010/03/03/dem-selection-process-rigged.aspx Critz said he had 50 votes locked up last weekend. One serious problem: the delegates are due today and should not have been disclosed to anyone prior to them being announced. Translation: The fix is in. So much for McKenna's claim that each candidate will have "equal opportunity" to contact the delegates. This is very unethical, i must agree.
http://www.post-gazette.com/pg/10063/1040149-84.stmThere will be tremendous backlash from this likely as the other candidates Hafer, Bucchianeri, Cernic have been essentially railroaded it appears. Only time will tell.
