http://www.pennlive.com/midstate/index.ssf/2010/10/commentary_corbett_should_hand.htmlAfter being ridiculed in public for not doing his job in regards to overseeing waste and misuse of dollars at the $7 billion Hershey Trust, Corbett finally said he would investigate. He still hasn't asked the Trust for any information.
The link is to an editorial in the Harrisburg paper noting Corbett's conflicts of interest with the leadership of the Trust, who sponsor fundraisers for his campaign.
By the way, the Trust is supposed to exist for one purpose - to provide a boarding school for as many needy kids as the funds allow. However, they have used their for profit subsidiary HERCO to serve their own purposes. The Inquirer pointed out that HERCO has paid less than 0.002 percent of their revenues to support the school in recent years, even though the school owns 100% of HERCO. HERCO controls the hotels, amusement park, campground, etc.
