Altmire's staff was clueless as to LIHEAP

I called my congressman's DC office this afternoon to register my support for funding Public Broadcasting, as well as NOT cutting LIHEAP (Low Income Heating Assistance Program)by 50%. The staffer who took my message was very polite but had no knowlege of LIHEAP. I tried to educate him in 30 seconds or less. Hope he retains some of it.

I almost gave up ever working to elect another politician again because of him.

But that they had no knowledge of the LIHEAP cuts scares the crap out of me.

3. I bet he doesn't have interns talking to any lobbyists who call!

But thanks for that comment. Next time I call, I'll check to see if I'm talking to an intern,and then request one of the regular staff members.
