Pollworkers NEEDED for May 17 Primary!

Many Pennsylvania counties URGENTLY need fill-in pollworkers to be appointed for the May 17 Primary Election, and will greatly welcome your help!

What are the basic requirements to become an appointed Pollworker in Pennsylvania?
* Be a US Citizen age 18 or older and a registered Pennsylvania voter.
* Be registered to vote 30 days prior to the election and serve in the county where you are registered.
* Students enrolled in a high school who are 17 years old with residency in the county may be appointed to be a clerk or machine inspector only, with written permission from a parent or guardian and their high school principal.
* You will be paid for your services.

Serving as a Pollworker is a great way to help our democracy and ensure that our elections remain fair and accurate. If you would like to serve, contact your county election office... and post about your experience here, please! :-)

Not having good people in the polls on Election Day is a real problem.

Please help.

2. Unfortunately for me I don't think it will work any better than last
year. I voted myself in as an inspector for the last election, accepted and contacted them to find out the schedule for training but they never got back to me. Funny that. I live in the same house I grew up in and the same phone number since we got rid of the party line back in the 60's. I guess I'm persona non grata since the DRE fight.

Glad to see you're still around MB

3. I would do it if I was retired.
I have to work on election day. But.... I am working for local candidates after work until the polls close. :hi:
