The continuing drama of Middle Smithfield Township, Monroe County. The latest is that 2 of the supervisors have been refusing to let the 3rd supervisor see the Township's financial records. The auditor testified before a judge that the books are in a shambles.

The FBI is investigating whether the one supervisor's girlfriend was illegally put onto the Township's health insurance as a spouse, while he was married to another woman. The supervisors thought they had solved that problem by giving the girlfriend a full time job for the township - which was keeping the financial books.
