Hotline for Voting Machine Problems 717-884-VOTE, and a Checklist for Watching Machines
Edited on Tue May-17-11 01:19 PM by demodonkey
Today is the big day -- the 2011 Pennsylvania Primary Election.

Our counties are electing candidates who will go on to run in the November election to become County Commissioners, County Council members, and County Executives that comprise county Boards of Election in Pennsylvania for the next four years. With our HAVA-purchased voting systems now entering their sixth year of service, many of these people will be soon facing voting system reliability problems and may need to make a decision about a replacement voting system during their term of office. And of course like many states, PA is facing the VoterID legislation proposals and other elecion issues that might end up being implemented by our County BOEs.

This is a very important primary.

Whether you are voting, working inside the polls as a pollworker, working outside the polls promoting a candidate, or serving as a pollwatcher, please be on the lookout for election problems. If you notice any problems, especially problems with voting machines, be sure to CALL OUR HOTLINE AT 717-884-VOTE (717-884-8683.) We are asking everyone to make a note of this number and spread the word.

Please go to http://www.electionintegritycandidate.org/files/EIC_Pollwatcher_Card.pdf for a printable Checklist for Watching Electronic Voting Machines. It is laid out three-to-a-page and two-sided. We suggest that you bring a copy to the polls and share it with other voters and election workers.

This information is also on http://www.VotePA.us and http://www.electionintegritycandidate.org

Good luck today if you are working as a pollworker, pollwatcher, or outside the polls, and no matter what don't forget to vote! :-)
