http://www.post-gazette.com/pg/11186/1158332-42.stm?cmpid=news.xmlBELLEFONTE, Pa. -- The daughter of a central Pennsylvania district attorney who went missing more than six years ago has asked a judge to declare her father dead.
Centre County District Attorney Ray Gricar disappeared on April 15, 2005 after taking a day off from work. He had told his girlfriend that he was going for a drive; his car was found at an antiques market in Lewisburg the next day.
Now, the Centre Daily Times reports that his daughter, Lara Gricar, has asked a Centre County judge for an order declaring the death of her father. President Judge David E. Grine has scheduled a July 25 hearing on the petition.
Lara Gricar's petition cites the diligent inquiry made by law enforcement into the disappearance, as well as the family's desire for closure.
This seemed like such a mystery at first, but I'm convinced that it's a suicide and his body will probably never turn up.
