Folks - this is rivaling Hurricane Agnes. Harrisburg is an island now
I just got off the phone with my mother and the Swatara Creek is up to the roof of the first house on their street (their road goes up a hill so they should be ok). I just read where all the highways heading in/out of Harrisburg are flooding. And at Hersheypark they had to euthanize 2 bison at ZooAmerica because they were drowning. I lived in Perry County when Agnes hit and it was bad. They say this rain could be worse.

From what I read this is the reminents of Tropical Storm Lee. The only problem is Lee has no where to go because Hurricane Katia is keeping Lee inland and it's just dumping rain all over the place.

I really feel bad for the people in Port Deposit, MD. They're near the dam that's on the Susquehanna and they have to open the flood gates most of the residents of that town are going to suffer serious damage.

I hope everyone in Central PA is ok!

3. We had 8 inches in our basement
First time ever in our 34 years here. Our road goes up a hill like your mother's. Our neighbors had water on the first floor and my brother's basement collapsed in 2 places. This is awful and worse than Agnes for our area. We're east of Hershey.

4. I feel blessed living in SW PA
They must have been desperate killing the bison at that zoo.

This is global climate change. It's real... talking to the choir, I know,
