Tonights election results
I've looked and looked all over the internets and can't find a website for election returns for PA let alone my county or township. Does anyone know one?

1. I did too.
Disappointing. Guess I'll have to wait until morning. I am dying to hear about the local races.

The state site referred me to my county's website. :eyes:

Did you try your local newspaper's web page?

2. I went to Philly.com
which is sort of a combination of several major papers and the only had results of the Philadelphia races, none for the 'burbs. I'll check back, I guess. There used to be a section of DU devoted to info and links on election nights, I wish they still had that.

6. And for the first time in 60 years, Westmoreland County will be run completely by Republicans.
We can all thank Richard Mellon Scaife and his Republican rag newspaper monopoly for that.

It's disgusting.

7. I think it's very suspicious. JMO
I wonder if the Koch Bros. were involved? I just can't believe all the row offices went repuke too.

8. Well, the state Republican party put a lot of money into Westmoreland.
It's very possible that Koch money was involved.

The Democrats, local and nationwide, need to pay attention to what happened here.

10. Democrats in Westmoreland need new blood. They run the same people over and over again.
And, they are underfunded and out maneuvered by the Repubs consistently anymore. They are not reaching the electorate. Westmoreland may have more registered Democrats, but they consistently forget they are Democrats, and go and vote Republican. The sweep was sad, but not unexpected-it has been in the works for a long time. When an electorate reads and hears only one side, and are too lazy to seek out the truth, these kinds of things happen. The new Commissioners ran on, and won by comparing the current Commissioners to Pres. Obama. LOL,never mind that our concerns and issues in Westmoreland County have nothing to do with federal policies. The only touch of a silver lining in all of this is that when the Republicans totally screw things up and cut services, jobs and the funds for our roads, bridges and services, they can't blame Democrats for anything bad that might happen. They will for once have to take responsibility for their own mismanagement and piss poor judgment. Maybe then, the electorate in Westmoreland will recognize how much they have been bamboozled by the Republicans, RW talk radio, and Scaife's crappy newspaper.

11. I couldn't agree more.
Now these Republicans will actually have to govern, and it will be very interesting to see how that goes.

It sure would be nice to be able to read another newspaper around here. I noticed today that some of the stores in the Apollo area don't even CARRY the Post Gazette!

However, there still is that nutcase Quinn in the morning, and a steady stream of RW manipulation and lies all afternoon and into the evening, that has to be challenged vigorously.
