You are invited to attend a ANTI-WAR RALLY and PROTEST MARCH in Kennebunkport, Maine on August 25. Peace Activist Cindy Sheehan will be joining us and setting up a CAMP CASEY for 10 days. President Bush is expected to be vacationing at the family estate during this time.

The theme of the event is called STOP the WAR ** START A REVOLUTION . The speakers will be talking about systemic change that needs to happen to break the cycle of endless war. We will also be having a number of wonderful musicians including VFP member Pat Scanlon and his band.

This is the second event of its kind in Kennebunkport. Last year with only a few days notice we drew a tri-state crowd of about 700 protesters. The protest was covered by the NY Times, Washington Post, Boston Globe, LeMonde(Paris) and other media outlets all over the world. This year we hope to draw thousands of people of conscience to let Bush know that "From Crawford to Kennebunkport we will him him accountable for this illegal and immoral war and occupation!"

In May, the organizers will be assigning a "hospitality coordinator" to assist Veterans with finding accommodations( for people traveling from outside of Maine) . We are offering FREE CAMPING and some rooms in homes on a first come first serve basis.
