South Dakota is my home. And it is home to thousands of gay and lesbian citizens across the state. Thanks to the National Stonewall Democrats, we are coming together - for the first time to form a coalition that will stand for equality.
Republicans are attempting to divide the people of South Dakota with a bitter, anti-gay amendment on next year's ballot. Faced with this challenge, many national organizations have chosen to ignore South Dakota because they see our state as too conservative. Thankfully, National Stonewall Democrats is committed to LGBT Americans who call South Dakota home.
Stonewall is helping South Dakotans Lead
Stonewall is taking action. They are helping those of us in South Dakota form the statewide network we need to counter right-wing activists. No other group is doing this. I'm asking that you take this moment to help the Stonewall Democrats help those of us in South Dakota.
Now all we need is your help to raise $1500.
Please help South Dakota hold the first statewide training of LGBT activists in our state's history.
Let's not concede the frontlines in the fight for equality. Help train the army of volunteers we need. And send a strong and clear message to the right-wing extremists - our community is prepared to fight passionately and strategically to secure our basic rights as Americans, and the the right-wing will get not get a free pass anywhere when they threaten our freedom and equality.
Our goal is to raise $1500 to fully supply materials, staff and space to train activists from across South Dakota this spring. Your contribution can make this happen.
Please considering sponsoring a trainee for one day for $25, or
$50 will sponsor a trainee for the entire weekend.
$100 sponsors 2 trainees.
$150 sponsors 3 trainees.
$200 sponsors 4 trainees.
Your donation makes the difference.

Thank you,
