Jackrabbits trounce Horned Frogs
Lubbock, TX (Sports Network) - Kristin Rotert and Jill Young tallied 17 points apiece and the seventh-seeded South Dakota State Jackrabbits breezed past the 10th-seeded TCU Horned Frogs, 90-55, in first-round action of the Raleigh Regional of the NCAA Tournament at United Spirit Arena.
Jennifer Warkenthien logged a double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds for SDSU (32-2), which came out on top in the team's inaugural D-I tournament game. The Jackrabbits matched the school record with their 32nd victory and they also tied the NCAA Tournament record for most three-pointers in game with 16.
