New GOP desperation tactic against Ford
http://fancyford.com/

Ford is the master politician and will no just how to make this backfire on the Rethugs. Personally, I think the average voter will see this as a cheap shot and the average GOP male voter may actually like Ford better after seeing the site.

1. A Party Distraction That Can't Be Ignored
Edited on Sat Mar-11-06 08:49 PM by Crisco
This one is for the people in the bleachers.

This site is the kind of thing that will give plenty of grist for "average folks" who use internet bulletin boards, email lists, letters to the editor, something to astro-turf with.

Dems need to be ready to counter this. My suggestion would be to talk about how pretty the site is, the pretty colors and fonts .. ie, critique the site with an exaggerated gay perspective.

When the GOP brings the hammer on Ford, it's not going to have anything to do with his laundry bills, it's going to have everything to do with his family.

Don't ignore the FancyFord site, but don't take your counter defense so seriously (HAVE FUN!) that you've got nothing left for the real bruising when it comes.

On edit: if I vote in the primary, if Ford's opponent is even halfway decent and has a record to my liking, there's where I'm voting.

3. I wish that I knew how to find out who starts and owns a website - like
this one: www.bobuncorkered.com. I'm curious about whether someone in either the Bryant or Hilleary camp started this or who did. It's not very well put together, IMHO, and I couldn't find very much info. on it.

5. Don't know but I found that someone's been asking website
designers around here about putting up "anti-candidate" websites. Two I know of have refused to do it. I imagine someone will do it.

And this is for local canadidates in a small, rural county.
